With so much going on around us and within the universe, it is often hard to find yourself still and able to soak in any silhouette of silence. Have you ever wondered like me "Why can't the world be still and take a moment of silence?"
We often take a moment of silence as we reflect on someone's life, tragedies and events that have gutted our hearts with a sense of loss. But what about taking a moment of silence to meditate in the presence of God? We are hearing from the world everyday through social media, the news, our family and friends. Our ears are ever cluttered and overcrowded with the nuisances of confusion, drama, tragedies, terror, gossip etc. Will we ever be brave enough to take a stand for a moment of silence to hear from God? After all, we do seek blessings, happiness, peace and wisdom, which are all gifts that can be found both in and from Him.
On Sunday, I took a stand and vowed to God to make more time for Him and to sit still in silence so that I could reflect and meditate in His presence which has brought me peace of mind. On today, Saturday, October 10, 2020 as it rains all day and is still outside of my home, I am choosing to take a moment of silence spiritually and mentally. Today and this very moment is a great one to posture your heart to say "Speak Lord, your servant is listening." (1 Samuel 3:9). If that means turning off your phone and logging out of social media to soak in the beauty and bliss of all that being silent can bring you, I implore you to give it a try. Our greatest revelations will often happen in moments of rest and silence. The only thing that God really wants from you is all of You! It starts with being still and hearing His voice.
May our lessons be plenty and our journeys be joyous and beautiful!
God Bless 😘
